Biography

With more than 25 years of experience in education, ministry, administration, and leadership, Dr. Sean Odell brings a broad range of experience to Nelson University. His career encompasses Christian higher education, pastoral ministry, church administration, and private-sector leadership, all grounded in a commitment to excellence, faith, and service.

As an educator, Dr. Odell is committed to supporting students and preparing them for effective ministry and leadership. His approach emphasizes collaboration, practical ministry preparation, and the integration of faith and learning.

In addition to his work in higher education, Dr. Odell has served as a pastor and church administrator in Pennsylvania, Oregon, and Texas. His ministry experience includes leadership in diverse church contexts and a commitment to equipping others to live out their faith through effective Christian leadership and service.

At Nelson University, Dr. Odell teaches undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral courses in preaching and serves as the content expert for the Church Revitalization and Church Planting specializations. He is committed to preparing students to lead lives and ministries marked by purpose, theological depth, practical skill, and faithful service.
