Biography

Rev. Nelson de Freitas and his wife, Dr. Rennae de Freitas, served 20 years as Assemblies of God World Missionaries in the Dominican Republic. There, Nelson founded King’s Castle, a ministry providing children’s evangelism and discipleship training, and helped launch a Bible School to prepare Dominicans for missionary service. He also served on the Executive Committee for the Assemblies of God in the Dominican Republic and as Field Moderator for the Dominican Republic field missionaries. Today, Rev. de Freitas serves as Director of World Ministries at Nelson University. He and Dr. de Freitas remain appointed AGWM missionaries and serve together as representatives for ChildHope, a ministry network providing church-based education for children born into poverty. Nelson is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God.
