Biography
Dr. Loyd Uglow’s areas of study and research include the American West, U.S.-Mexican relations, the Civil War, World War II, and Texas military history. He has written books on famous American leaders and on the military history of Texas, as well as historical novels. A retired Commander in the United States Naval Reserve, he has some graduate course work from the Naval War College. He currently serves on the board of elders of First Assembly of God in Waxahachie, Texas. In addition to his many duties, Dr. Uglow enjoys spending time with his family and gardening, as well as reading and writing.
