Biography

Professor Jo Cardenas is an adjunct instructor for Nelson University. Having completed her Master of Business Administration degree here at Nelson University, she is deeply familiar with the business department. Jo has several years of experience in various industries, having managed all operations and systems, including finances and state regulations, for 8 childcare centers across the DFW metroplex.

Currently, Jo works in Nelson University Advancement, assisting the Development office with donor relations and data record keeping. In addition, Jo has begun taking steps towards operating her own financial consulting business, assisting non-profits with accountability and stewardship of their resources and systems. Jo has been married to her husband Silas since December 2023. She will finish her Masters of Arts in Theological Studies in April 2027 and plans to pursue her PhD in the next several years.
