How to activate Veterans’ benefits at Nelson University
- Apply for admission to Nelson University.
- Apply for Veteran’s Education Benefits
- Visit the VA Educational Benefits Website and/or call the Veteran Educational Benefit Office (888.442.4551).
- Submit a copy of your COE (Certificate of Eligibility) to [email protected].
- After you are officially enrolled, complete the Nelson University VA Enrollment Certification Form. This form must be filled out before each semester you attend at Nelson.
Benefits Available at Nelson
Nelson University is authorized by the Department of Veterans Affairs to certify students enrolled in our degree programs for benefits under:
- Chapter 33 (Post 9/11 G.I. Bill – Active Duty and Yellow Ribbon)
- Chapter 30 (Montgomery G.I. Bill – Active Duty)
- Chapter 31 (Vocational Rehabilitation)
- Chapter 35 (Veteran’s Spouses or Dependents)
- Chapter 1606 (Selected Reserve)
- Chapter 1607 (Reserve Educational Assistance Program)
Eligibility and chapter are determined by the Department of Veterans Affairs (888-442-4551).
As a private university, Nelson is not eligible to participate in the Texas Veterans Hazelwood Act.
