5 Local Spots to Explore This Fall in Waxahachie

October 30, 2026

Who doesn’t love the fall? The fall is the perfect time to get out and explore what Waxahachie has to offer. From seasonal events and pumpkin patches to must-try coffee menus and outdoor activities, there’s plenty to do in our college town to keep your weekends busy during this time of year.

  1. Fort Worth Symphony

You don’t have to drive to Fort Worth for a night at the symphony. On Nov. 7, 2026, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is coming right to Nelson University’s Hagee Center for “America 250,” featuring American favorites from composers like Gershwin, Bernstein, John Williams and Sousa. Get your tickets here.

  1. Night on the Town

Grab your friends and head downtown for Waxahachie’s Night on the Town. On the second Thursday of each month, participating downtown shops stay open from 5 to 8 p.m. with special promotions and plenty of reasons to wander around the square. The last day to take advantage of these extended hours is Thursday, December 10, 2026. Find more information here.

  1. Coffee Shops

Fall is basically an excuse to order another coffee, right? Make your own coffee crawl and check out local favorites like Bloom & Pour, Vita Coffee House and Fresh Market Coffee. Fresh even offers a caramel apple cider if you’re ready to trade your usual order for something more seasonal.

  1. Rhythm & Brew

If live music and good coffee are your thing, add Rhythm & Brew to your Waxahachie favorites. Try a new specialty coffee drink and enjoy live performances that are often free to attend. This is their event calendar.

  1. Munster Mansion

Ready for something a little spooky? Waxahachie is home to the Munster Mansion, a full-scale replica inspired by the house from the 1960s sitcom “The Munsters,” complete with recreated rooms, props and memorabilia. Tours are available by appointment only, so plan ahead. Go to their website here.
